PRISON BREAK

To be free is to be in a state where one is not being imprisoned or being in bondage to one’s power and authority to act, speak or think as one wishes but rather to be able to submit to the power and authority of God and to God’s alignment, thoughts, and actions.

Part of being free is to be able to break lose from the people that need you to meet with the people that will feed you. If you are only around people who just need you and you never get around people who will feed you, you, your resources and your potentials will eventually be put to waste. It is really exciting to have a purpose and to be around people who are desperate for you and need you because it gives you that sense of validation that you fit in and are accepted which is understandble.

But If you do not break away from people who want you, to meet with people who will feed you, then your need becomes a burden because you will eventually run out or worn out or even become dry over time. Imagine a bank that allows you to continue to draw out without depositing, such bank will either go bankrupt or you who keeps drawing from what you have and not replacing it will go bankrupt. You cannot just give out without taking in.

You have to see to it that you get fed intellectually, emotionally and spiritually to function well. You will also have to get fed through different sources to meet your needs intellectually, emotionally or spiritually. When a lot of people are feeding on you, you also need to feed on multiple streams to meet their needs. Serving others means serving you and dedicating your time to others also means dedicating time for yourself.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). 2 Corinthians 3:17

Resist the pull to give up

He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].

Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Isaiah 40:29-31

Anything that requires growth and development will bring challenges that will almost cause one to give up but you must try and resist that pull to give up. Even though life can be full of ups and downs and turns and curves, giving up should not be included in your options at all. Obstacles are a sign that you are weak in an area and you need to develop strategies to overcome such obstacles. Obstacles are not an indication that something is not meant for you, in fact, it indicates that it is for you but you have to figure it out to own it.

Resisting to give up trains you and strengthens you. Your goal should not be so much winning the fight but resisting to give up in the fight. To resist is to endure, to love, to be patient, to be persistently confident, to have a mind that is well balanced and to have self-control. All of these attributes are of the Spirit of God which lives in us. We just have to identify that we have got it all, apply them as needed and acknowledge God who gave us such power.

I am Titilope, lately, I have been calling myself Queen T. Yes, you may call me a Queen. How do you see yourself and what do you call yourself?

I am here to feed your soul just the way I feed mine.

To be spiritually fit is to be holistically prosperous.

       Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
