Lighten up the dark world
You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your [a]moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and [b]recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.
You are so powerful and fearless. You are the light in a dark world. Do not hesitate to shine your light, spread that light and get the world’s attention. You are not seeking for personal attention but you are drawing their attention to listen. As your light shines, darkness will be intimidated and will try to destroy or dim your light. Can I say to you, do not fear, instead, rise in the radiance of Christ Jesus.
How many times have you been lied to? Are you going to believe them or believe in God? Their lies are to prevent you from understanding your purpose and from fulfilling your mission in life. Have you been told how small, how wicked and how poor you are? What an accusation and slander.
Thank God that God is looking from above and ready to redefine you and restore the name that He initially planned and has given you. Oh, you listen, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are powerful, fruitful, kind and self-caring. If I were you I would break those chains of the doubt by going straight to my room, right in front of the mirror to repeat “ I am fearfully and wonderfully made”, “ I am powerful, fruitful, kind and self-caring” Say it with confidence and as many times as you like and can. The word of the mouth is powerful and when you declare it over your life, it will manifest in your life.
I know who God says I am. Do you know who you are?
Just in case you do not know, this is what God is saying about you. You are truly the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, You are God’s ambassador on earth. You were created to display the power of LOVE. Your light comes from God. And as you believe in God, your light will continue to be unquenchable and piercingly bright, penetrating through the darkness of the world.
You are a city set high up on a hill, shining the light of GOD’s HOPE AND GLORY to the world. You were created to declare GOD’s GOODNESS and radiate GOD’s LIKENESS into the dark world. Do not shy away from declaring the good news, the Gospel of GOD’s Son, Jesus Christ to to the nations. Declare it boldly, let everyone know that GOD (Jesus) is LOVE. Though darkness rages against you, do not be afraid because you stand for GOD’s LOVE. You may feel small or vulnerable, but GOD will give you the words to speak and perhaps to write that will disarm the hostility of darkness. For the nations and the people are truly hungry and will be moved if you remain persistent to win them over with GOD’s LOVE. Your steps will be sure and certain because you have GOD’s strength and not man’s power to save people from their wrath.
Never respond to people’s anger, but reveal to them who they truly are as GOD gives you the words and power to speak or perhaps write. They think they are coming after you because they hate you, but really GOD is sending them to you because they are so lost in the emptiness of their stolen heart and the wounds created from living in darkness.
GOD has given you HIS LOVE for them and this LOVE is your armor (weapon) to defend against the hostility that holds them captive. You can trust GOD’s LOVE, it will melt their defensiveness. As their heart is restored to them, the hunger for the light that is hidden inside of them will emerge and the darkness that has held them captive for such a long time will fall away. Even you will be surprised by what you will see in them, their humanity will come forth and take your breath away in JESUS mighty name. Amen.
