Eagles do not flap
Faith comes from a place of rest and if you must fly like an eagle you must let go of the weights and soar not flap. For God to work through you, you have let go of all the weights. The Holy Spirit does not work hard for anything to happen, all you need to do is yield to the prompts of the Holy Spirit. Your job is to do the yielding, God’s job is to do the doing. When you yield and allow God to have His way and work through you awesome things will happen.
[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while [a]effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and [b]delight. Philippians 2:13
One of the biggest weights people carry is false responsibilities. People often think that they can make people do something or change people but the truth is that we cannot do the work of the Holy Spirit. Only God can change the heart of someone, bring true deliverance to someone and save someone’s soul.
Only God can do supernatural miracles, sign, wonders and extraordinary things in the lives of ordinary people. So you see, yours is to obey the prompts of the Spirit and not expect anything or response from anybody. God's job is to do what no man can do. Only God will take His glory. When you try to do what only God can do, you will only waste your time and you will be stressed out. If you have a word for somebody, your responsibility will be to offer it, but then it's between that person and God what they now do and how they respond.
Everybody likes to live the way Jesus lived but really, all Jesus did was what GOD told Him to do, He said what GOD asked Him to say and He went where GOD told Him to go. These days people run the service to others in good deed but really, did GOD ask them to go?
If you remember the story of Lazarus in John chapter eleven, as devastating as the news that Lazarus was, dying, Jesus did not move straight away, He waited for days before He responded. God does things to show His power and we must stay clear and allow God in His timings to do what we cannot do.
When Martha, the sister of the dead spoke to Jesus stating how long the body was dead, how offensive the smell was and how decayed the body was, Jesus replied her stating “Did I not tell you and [a]promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?” It doesn’t matter how complicated things are or how difficult life can be for people, when God steps in, we have to back off because only God will take His glory.
The glory of God never comes on what people do, it comes on what He does. So shake off those heavyweights of false responsibility because it will only take away your peace and joy. It will only cause you struggle and strive.
